We offer many services to our customers: Installation, Implementation Consulting, and Training. We offer these services onsite and offsite (via the web). You might find this strange, but we do not count on services as part of our implementations. Our internal objective is to make the software installation and implementation easy enough that you can simply follow our documentation and not feel the need to have us help you directly. Some customers make use of our services to meet an implementation deadline, to help with a shortage of personnel, to accomplish certain objectives, to assist with integration into your enterprise asset management system, or to simply make life easier.
Customization Services. We also offer customization services. We do not highlight this fact and we think customizing our software is not usually in the best, long-term interests of our customers. If the customization idea is a great one, we will arrange to do it for you and then probably include it in the next general release, but if the customization is mostly for you and not much of a benefit for other customers it will not be included in the general release. In this case when you want to migrate to the next version of ATS, you would need to customize the new release to retain the customization feature. Some businesses have a sign to indicate how many days without an injury. We at CG4 think similarly with respect to how long since we needed to customize our software. ATS is a mature product and the vast majority of our new customers are able to get the functionality they need for their specific environment without customizing.
