Our pricing is based on several components, such as how many servers you plan to install, the number of assets you will be tracking (CG4 ATS Professional Edition-Stand Alone), the number of concurrent web users, the number of handheld licenses, and the number of fixed RFID readers you will be using.

Server Licensing. If you purchase CG4 ATS Professional Edition (Stand Alone), our server license ranges in price depending on the number of assets you are going to track. Most customers only need one server license. If you purchase ATS Enterprise to integrate to another system such as Hewlett Packard’s AssetCenter and Asset Manager products, or Oracle’s PeopleSoft, the server license is a standard amount for each server.  Most customers, even those tracking a million assets having hundreds of users use only one server license.

Handheld Licensing. Each handheld scanner you use (barcode or RFID) needs a handheld license.  You may have many more users defined than you have handheld licenses.  For example, you many have purchased 50 handheld licenses, but have 150 users set up in CG4 because they all share the handhelds.  Any user may log in and use any handheld scanner.  Some ATS Stand Alone customers only use the web software and do not purchase a handheld license.  All CG4 ATS Enterprise Edtion customers purchase handheld licenses because the users do all updates from the field using the handhelds.

Concurrent Web User Licensing. Concurrent web user licensing only applies to CG4 ATS Professional Edition.  A concurrent web license comes with each server and handheld license. You may purchase additional concurrent web user licenses.

Fixed RFID Licensing. If you implement fixed RFID readers as part of your asset tracking efforts, you will need a license for each of the fixed readers (Motorola XR-450).  These readers are typically installed at key choke points and doorways.

Maintenance. Maintenance is 20% of licensing. While on maintenance you receive all new versions of the CG4 Asset Tracking software at no additional fee. You also receive software fixes, unlimited phone, web and email support, all at no incremental cost.

Quote. Your CG4 representative will be able to listen to your project and give you a definite quote.

Licenses Interchangeable. Once you purchase licenses of either of our asset tracking products, you can exchange your licenses of one product for licenses of the other product as long as you are current on maintenance. For example, you may have plans to implement an enterprise asset management system next year but in preparation for the move you would like to start gathering your asset data now. To gather the initial data, you would purchase the CG4 Asset Tracking System Professional Edition. Then when your enterprise back end system is ready for integration, you are able to switch to the CG4 ATS Enterprise Edition without your users seeing any difference in using the handheld scanners.

Deployment. Once you have decided on which CG4 product fits your needs, you will need to consider which deployment option best fits your needs.  Most customers install the CG4•Central server onto their local workstations or servers.  Since the CG4•Central server is web based, you have the ability to install it once within your network and have your users access CG4 software by using their browser and the appropriate URL.  You also have the opportunity to have it outside your corporate firewall if you want to have your users access the CG4 software over the Internet.  Accessing the CG4•Central web screens is very common if you are using CG4 ATS Professional Edition because you are able to edit asset information directly in the web pages.  If you are using CG4 ATS Enterprise, usually only administrators access the CG4•Central web screens because user edits to assets are only done via handhelds.
